SPONSORSHIP REQUESTS

Q: Will Best Western sponsor my cause or donate to my charitable organization?

A. Maybe. As a global business operating in more than 80 countries, Best Western receives a large volume of sponsorship and donation requests, and we cannot honor all of them.

If you would like to submit a request, please send your query to SponsorshipDonations@bestwestern.com. Organizations or individuals requesting sponsorship or donations must be based in the United States or Canada. Please be sure to include any key dates for associated events, raffles. etc., as requests without said detail cannot be considered. You will be contacted if Best Western is able to support your cause.

How does Best Western decide which causes to support?

World Vision is Best Western's charity of choice, and our independent hotel owners worldwide sponsor impoverished children through this global relief organization. In addition, Best Western is Presenting Sponsor of the New Orleans Hornets Bookmobile, an interactive library-on-wheels that has distributed more than 90,000 free books to students in disaster-affected parts of the United States.

Best Western also has a Member Advisory Committee composed of volunteer owner-operators who convene to review philanthropic requests. This group selects for support those requests which are consistent with our Corporate Social Responsibility mission statement, broad in scope, and which honor our fiduciary and financial obligations to our membership.

At our Phoenix, Ariz. headquarters, Best Western employees contribute to a number of local causes, selected each year by a staff committee.

Lastly, our Member hotels are often family-run businesses with deep roots in their local communities, and our Members have a long history of supporting causes with direct impact on their friends and neighbors. To see some of the great work being done by our Members, click here.

I submitted a donation or sponsorship request but never heard back. What should I do?

If you have not heard back from Best Western, it is because we are not able to honor your charitable request. We thank you for your efforts and wish you success with your chosen cause.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Q: How can a hotel owner or individual donate to Best Western's scholarship fund?

A. Send a check to Arizona Community Foundation, with a note or other communication indicating that the gift is intended for the Best Western Scholarship Fund. Wiring instructions for stock gifts are available here.
