Glenn de Souza is vice president for international operations in Asia and brings 25 years of hotel experience to Best Western International. De Souza oversees brand management and development throughout the region, including Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. He also directs the region’s sales and marketing efforts.
De Souza has grown Best Western to become one of the largest and most respected brands on the continent. Under his leadership, Best Western was voted “Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand” by readers of Asia’s top travel trade newsletter, TTG Asia, for the past six years.
De Souza was named to the Hotelier Middle East Power 50 list in 2012.
Before being named vice president of international operations, he held other leadership positions in Best Western’s Asia office, including developing sales and marketing programs for the region.
De Souza is a hospitality industry veteran, with extensive international travel expertise and established relationships with travel agencies, tour operators and multinational accounts. He has held senior positions with other hotel brands, including Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Omni Hotels, Accor and Furama. He also served as general manager for the Hotel Sofitel Palm Resort in Malaysia.
De Souza was born in Singapore and is of Portuguese descent.
