New Promotion Rewards Business Travel “Heroes,” Allowing Best Western Rewards Members to Win Prizes By Planning Virtual Vacations with Friends

(PHOENIX) February 9, 2012— Best Western International is reversing the guilty feelings of being away from friends and family while traveling on business by rewarding travelers this spring with its new “Be a Travel Hero” Promotion on its Facebook page. The contest, which runs in tandem with Best Western’s® “Stay Three, Stay Free” Spring Promotion from February 6 to April 8, 2012, allows Best Western Rewards (BWR)® members to build a vacation for their family and friends as a reward for their patience and support of their ‘heroes’ ‘ business travel. Once they plan the virtual trip, participants can invite their friends and family to join in for a chance to win a dream vacation and other great prizes that they have earned from all their nights on the road as “travel heroes.”

To participate in the Best Western “Be a Travel Hero” promotion:
• Best Western Facebook Fans will need to sign in or enroll as BWR members.
• They will then choose a dream destination of their choice and invite up to 15 of their Facebook friends to virtually join the trip.
• If one of their Facebook friends accepts an invite, the referring participant will be awarded with an extra entry to win.

Prizes include the grand prize dream vacation which includes 150,000 Best Western Rewards points that are good for hotels, air travel, car rentals and more; five nights at any Best Western hotel; and one $5,000 MasterCard® Gift Card. Other weekly prizes include Best Western Travel Cards up to $500 in value, MasterCard Gift Cards up to $500 in value, Avis® rental car vouchers and gift cards, AAA/CAA memberships, gas cards and much more.

BWR members who create a trip with the “Be Travel Hero” promotion will be automatically registered for Best Western’s “Stay Three, Stay Free” Spring Promotion for the chance to earn a free room night and accelerate their hero status. The Spring Promotion will reward members who stay three separate times between February 6 and April 8, 2012 with a free night voucher, good at any BEST WESTERN®, BEST WESTERN PLUS® or BEST WESTERN PREMIER® in the world until June 30, 2012.
