BEST WESTERN Announces Election of Anthony Klok
to Board of Directors

PHOENIX (June 13, 2013) – Best Western International, the World’s Biggest Hotel Family®, announced that Anthony Klok, owner of the BEST WESTERN PLUS Hawthorne Terrace in Chicago, Ill., has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors.

Klok has more than 15 years experience in the hotel industry and as a Best Western member. He previously served as a Governor for the brand as well as chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee and a member of the Global Marketing Group. Klok will represent the interests of hotel owners in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ontario, and Wisconsin.

“Tony’s diverse background is going to be beneficial as we continue to enhance our brand,” said Best Western President and CEO David Kong.

Klok is a principal in the Neighborhood Development Corp. which has managed and developed numerous hotel and multi-unit housing projects. In addition to this work, Klok is an executive board member of the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association. He is a special service area commissioner for the City of Chicago, and he also serves on the DePaul University School of Hospitality Advisory Board and the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce.
