BWR Continues Its 25th Anniversary Celebration

BEST WESTERN REWARDS CONTINUES ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION BY MAKING MEMBERS “LOYALTY MILLIONAIRES”

PHOENIX (June 21, 2013) – Best Western International, the World’s Biggest Hotel Family®, will make 10 members of its loyalty program, Best Western Rewards® (BWR®), “Loyalty Millionaires” by awarding them one million bonus points.

Ten randomly selected participants – two each week through July 14 – will receive one million bonus points to redeem in any way they like. Consumers can sign up for the free program, and become eligible for the promotion, by registering on the Loyalty Millionaire tab on the brand’s Facebook page.

“Whether it’s a trip with the family or that special something you’ve been saving for, we hope our 10 lucky loyalty millionaires get their summer off to a great start,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International. “Loyalty Millionaire is another layer of Best Western Rewards 25th anniversary celebration, aimed at showing our members appreciation for their continued loyalty.”

What exactly can you get with one million BWR points? With more than 60 redemption options starting at 8,000 points, including free hotel nights, retail gift cards like Starbucks, Target, Home Depot and Amazon, BWR members have countless options to redeem their rewards points. One BWR member recently redeemed their points for retail partner gift cards and used them to buy a tractor.

Chris McGinnis, business travel expert and contributor to the brand’s blog, youmustbetrippin.com, said, “I would redeem my one million points for Best Buy gift cards to buy a new flat screen television and home theater system to enjoy when I’m not on the road.”

“My kids are hoping to put their Mickey ears on this summer and spend time at Disneyland,” said Amy Graff, family travel expert and author of the On the Go with Amy blog. “With one million Best Western Rewards points, we could redeem for enough Disney gift cards to get our family of four into the park and cover our travel expenses too.”

Bryson Forbes, Canadian travel expert, isn’t short on ideas either if he were one of the lucky winners. “As a loyalty millionaire, I would either convert my points to Aeroplan points and Best Western gift cards to cover airfare and accommodations for a dream trip to Hawaii, or I would redeem for retail gift cards to build out my dream backyard, including a new barbeque, patio furniture, lawn mower and even a hammock.” said Forbes.

Best Western Rewards is one of the industry’s most generous reward programs, and the Loyalty Millionaire promotion is one more layer to the program’s 25th anniversary celebration, which includes numerous exciting promotions over a 25-week period to show appreciation and give thanks to its faithful members.

Other BWR 25th Anniversary promotions include:

• 25-year members of BWR were awarded Diamond for Life membership status – the program’s highest Elite tier. As a Diamond for Life member, they’ll automatically receive 30 percent bonus points on all future qualifying stays, either 250 bonus points or a snack and beverage for each stay, a free room upgrade when available and many other exciting Elite-only offers.
• 25 Weeks of Giveaways (April through October): Each day, for 25 weeks (175 days), one randomly selected Elite member will receive a $25 Best Western Travel Card®, in appreciation of their loyalty.
• 25-year themed social media promotions will occur throughout the 25 weeks and will offer Twitter and Facebook fans opportunities to win prizes, including $250 Travel Cards.
