Vice President, Design and Supply
Rich Bennett is the vice president of Design and Supply for Best Western International, where he leads the design and procurement efforts of the brand through offices in Phoenix and Toronto.
Bennett joined Best Western in 2000 and was named vice president of Procurement in 2003 and Vice President of Design and Supply in 2005. Best Western Supply serves North American hotels with one-stop shopping for all of their construction, renovation and operating requirements. The Best Western Design team assists properties with the development of hotel prototypes, guestroom packages and custom hotel designs. Each year Best Western Design and Supply hosts the industry's largest tradeshow, showcasing products and services from several hundred suppliers. Best Western’s purchasing program generated sales in excess of $200 million last year.
Prior to joining Best Western, the 30-year hospitality industry veteran spent 21 years at Prime Hospitality where he was responsible for Prime's purchasing efforts, energy and fleet management. During his tenure, Prime's purchasing group facilitated the construction of nearly 200 hotels and the periodic renovations at 230 hotels in Prime's portfolio. Bennett began his career in operations as food & beverage director at several Ramada and Sheraton hotels.
Bennett is a member of the Institute for Supply Management.
