Barbara Bras is vice president, Human Resources for Best Western International, THE WORLD’S LARGEST HOTEL CHAIN®. A 20-year veteran in Human Resources, Barbara joined Best Western in January 2005 as the Managing Director of Human Resources. As Vice President of Human Resources, Bras has been instrumental in creating a client-focused model under which the Human Resources team operates.
Prior to joining Best Western, Barbara worked as a People Management Consultant for Rental Service Corporation, where she re-designed the companies’ recruiting, training, and development strategies. She was the Director of Organizational Development and Training for Northwestern Mutual Insurance where she implemented a corporate-wide leadership development program. Barbara also served as Vice President of Human Resources for Wisconsin Energy Corporation, the largest energy services company for the State of Wisconsin.
Bras earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of Hawaii. Bras holds a certificate as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resources Management and is a member of the Human Resources Planning Society.
