Best Western for Business

The key to traveling is planning ahead.. With crazy business schedules, sometimes there simply is no time to plan! With a little help from the following tips, hopefully your next business trip will be a breeze!!
Doing your entire business travel planning ahead is a great way to start your business trip . With Best Western's business travel planning tips your corporate travel planning should be a breeze!

Business Travel Tips

  1. Patronize hotels that offer value-added amenities. Nickel and dime charges for Internet access, parking and local calls that are not included in a nightly room rate will suddenly turn what looks like a good deal into an expensive proposition.
  2. Take advantage of loyalty programs. Points earned when staying with one particular chain for business reward travelers with points which can be used for free nights when traveling for pleasure.
  3. Stay at properties conveniently located to where you need to be. Whether it's the location of your meeting or other key spots like airports, which typically offer complimentary shuttle service, minimizing transportation costs can significantly impact your budget...and help you save time.
  4. If your company has a travel policy, stick to it. Companies that utilize travel managers are able to control those costs that can be controlled by monitoring the travel spend and enforcing compliance.
  5. If you travel with glasses or contacts, always bring a backup pair in case you lose or break your primary pair. If you don't have an extra pair, bring along a current copy of your prescription so you can go to a one-hour eye center to get a replacement.
  6. Shoes can get your garments dirty. Consider using plastic shower caps or old socks to cover the soles and protect the rest of your items.
  7. Every hotel room should have a plastic bag in the closet for dry cleaning. This is a great bag to use for dirty laundry, damp clothes or miscellaneous items. In fact, it's not a bad idea to stick a few plastic grocery bags down in the corner of your luggage.
  8. There's no need to take full size toiletries that take up a lot of room. You can either buy the little travel size items at the drugstore, purchase the plastic containers and fill them yourself or use film roll canisters as an inexpensive alternative. With Best Western's BestRequestsTM program most of these items are found in our hotel rooms. If not, any essential that you forgot can be obtained at the front desk including toothpaste, razors and a mending kit.
  9. Pick a color scheme for your wardrobe and stick to it. This is helpful, because it limits the number of color-coordinated shoes that need to be packed. If you can get away with only packing a few shoes your bags will be lighter and easier to carry.
