The Georgia Aquarium - Located in the downtown Atlanta, Georgia area at Pemberton Place. Billed as the "world's largest aquarium", the Georgia Aquarium boasts more than 8.1 million gallons of marine and fresh water and houses more than 100,000 animals of 500 different species. The aquarium's notable specimens include several young whale sharks and beluga whales.

Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site - Consisting of several buildings surrounding Martin Luther King, Jr.'s boyhood home on Auburn Avenue in the Sweet Auburn district. The Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site also houses Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King and his father Martin Luther King, Sr. were pastors. In total, the buildings included in the site make up 35 acres.

Atlanta History Center - View the history of Atlanta as well as Georgia through Civil War artifacts, photographs, and decorative arts. This large and unique historical center contains forests and gardens, including the mile-long Swan Woods Trail.

Atlanta Botanical Garden - An extremely beautiful garden featuring the Fuqua Orchid Center which treats visitors to a rare collection of high-elevation orchids never before grown in the southeast.

Oakland Cemetery - This historical park is the final resting place for many Civil War soldiers, golfing legend Bobby Jones, and "Gone With the Wind" author Margaret Mitchell.

Jimmy Carter Library and Museum - Learn about Carter's administration and personal life at this extensive library and museum situated amid 30 acres of gardens, lakes and waterfalls.

High Museum of Art - A beautiful porcelain-enameled building designed by famed architect Richard Meier that houses American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography. Take your time as the museum features a permanent collection of over 11,000 pieces.
