| These favorites have been keeping families entertained on the road for years. |
| License Plate game. |
|
The goal is to find license plates of as many states as possible. Whoever finds the most wins!
|
| Scavenger hunt |
|
Prepare a list of items for family members to look for on the road such as:
|
- Police car
- Cow
- Motor Home
- Particular fast food chain
- Particular gas chain
- Dog in a car
- Person talking on a cell phone in a car
- Car with suitcases on top
- Moving truck
- Signs with certain words on them
- Convertible car
Find an item on the road and give clues until someone guesses the item. Start with a generic description such as "I spy something red" and then give more detailed clues.
Think of an item and have family members ask yes or no questions (favorites include animal, vegetable, mineral or person, place or thing) until someone guesses the item.
Someone starts the game by naming a place such as New York. The next person has to think of a place that starts with the last letter of that place, such as Kansas or Kenya.
