Best Western Rewards Named in Top 3

Best Western’s Guest Loyalty Program Ranked No. 2 out of 16 Competing Hotel Brands

PHOENIX (July 24, 2013) – Best Western International, Inc.’s free guest loyalty program, Best Western Rewards® (BWR®), has been awarded the No. 2 spot on U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural list of the Best Hotel Rewards Programs. The publication evaluated 16 top hotel rewards programs based on several factors, including the number of hotels participating, ease of earning a free night and flexibility of the program.

BWR scored high marks in U.S. News & World Report’s signature methodology thanks to being one of the few truly international hotel rewards programs – points can be earned and redeemed at any of the brand’s 4,000-plus hotels worldwide with no blackout dates. BWR members also enjoy the benefit of those points never expiring.

Another contributor to the high ranking was BWR’s diverse redemption offerings: along with free hotel nights, members can redeem points for dining, shopping and entertainment gift cards, gas cards, airline/partner rewards and more. Best Western’s Status Match… No Catch® program will match members’ elite status in any other hotel loyalty program free of charge, making it that much easier for frequent travelers to cash in on BWR’s wide range of benefits.

“We’ve worked hard to make Best Western Rewards one of the most generous rewards programs in the industry and we’re pleased to see that recognized by U.S. News & World Report’s No. 2 ranking,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International. “BWR is all about rewarding our most loyal customers and we will continue to push that envelope with new offerings and a refusal to follow the industry trend of devaluing our loyalty points.”

The U.S. News & World Report ranking comes amidst the 25th Anniversary of the Best Western Reward program and the brand has been celebrating with 25 weeks of exciting promotions and giveaways to show appreciation and thanks to its faithful members. Each week through October one randomly selected Elite member will receive a $25 Best Western Travel Card® and the brand will also be holding weekly social media promotions to reward Twitter and Facebook fans. Twenty five-year members of BWR will also be awarded Diamond for Life membership status – the program’s highest Elite tier.
