We are one block up from historic downtown Hannibal and two blocks up from the Mississippi River. The hotel is within walking distance of the Mark Twain boyhood home, museum and riverboat, plus many different bars and restaurants. Downtown also offers a variety of specialty shops such as antiques, boutiques, beauty salons, an art gallery, a gelato shop and book stores. There is also a local B&B Theater that opened in 2009. Along with the movie theater Bluff City opened in 2015 and puts on a variety of plays throughout the year. Hannibal has a minor league baseball team called the Cavemen and they host games during the summer at Clemens Field, which is less than a mile from the Best Western On the River. We are also only two miles away from popular tourist attractions like Mark Twain Cave and family fun park Sawyer's Creek.
