Bill Ryan
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Bill Ryan is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for BWH^SM Hotels.  In this role, he leads the Technology Management team responsible for technology strategy, digital experience, architecture and data governance, project delivery, technical operations, and cybersecurity.  As a member of the Executive Committee, Ryan plays a key role in aligning business and technology strategies. 

With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology and digital experience, Ryan drives innovation and improves business outcomes by transforming technology organizations into trusted strategic partners. He has held leadership positions across multiple customer-focused brands including PetSmart, Urban Outfitters, and Backcountry. 

Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University with concentrations in management information systems and marketing and a Bachelor of Business from George Washington University with dual concentrations in finance and marketing. 

Ryan currently serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Graphic and Information Technology program at Arizona State University.
