Jay Hubbs is Vice President of Advertising, Marketing, Innovation and Analytics for BWHSM Hotels. Hubbs joined the company in 2021 in this newly created role to lead the brand’s digital advertising, media buying and co-op marketing efforts.
Hubbs has a proven executive management track record in the travel industry and over 27 years of experience in digital strategy, marketing and sales. Prior to his current role at BWH Hotels, Hubbs worked with Remington Hotels where he first served as the Senior Vice President of digital marketing and then as the Senior Vice President of commercial services. During his time with the company, he led digital marketing efforts and headed up all revenue responsibilities for the brand’s independent hotels. Prior to his time at Remington, Hubbs served as Vice President of sales at ReviewPro leading sales efforts for North America. Hubbs also led hotel supplier relations for Hotwire.com as part of Expedia’s Partner Services Group.
During the early part of his career, Hubbs worked with Scient Corp. supporting startup businesses; worked for Starwood where he oversaw revenue management strategies for the company’s key New York City hotels; and held various revenue management and operational roles for management companies including Bristol Hotels and Winegardner and Hammons Hotel Group, LLC.
Hubbs received his B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and his M.B.A. in Marketing Strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Adding to his wealth of knowledge and impressive experience, Hubbs was recognized by HSMAI in 2018 as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing.
Hubbs is actively engaged in the hotel industry at large, as he currently serves as a member of HSMAI’s Americas Board to help guide the organization through the ever-changing hospitality landscape. Hubbs also previously served as the Chair for HSMAI’s Digital Marketing Council and advised the organization’s Revenue Management Advisory Board for three years.
