The Sure Hotel by Best Western Nora Stadshotell was built in 1878. A cozy city hotel with a charming atmosphere has both literary murder and culinary delights committed since the late 1800's. The author Maria Lang was often in the hotel. There are still two rooms decorated in Maria Lang style with decor from the 50's. The novel Our Song Gets Silent at Nora Stadshotell and the murder in the novel is committed in Room 111 (which in the book is Room 13).

0.1 kilometer(s) from Tradstad, Nora is a safe and sound wooden town with streets laid out in the classic grid. Many farms and houses look the same as they did in the 1700s and 1800s. The city is marked by the mining industry and have a city charter since the 1600s. Nora met the mighty mountain men to make plans and conclude business. To visit Nora is like stepping right into a museum, though this is all for real. The city is alive with its history, and thanks to the proud inhabitants as it is today one of Sweden's most well-preserved towns. Wooden houses facades, the cozy courtyards, gossip mirrors and cobbled streets are all details reminiscent of how life was before. The well-preserved environment makes Nora member of the Three wooden towns, along with Eksjö and Hjo.
Their are city tours and you can discover the city on your own.
