The Kasteel de Vanenburg, BW Premier Collection® is located in a peaceful, forest-rich area in the heart of the Netherlands (less than 45 minutes from Amsterdam), called "De Veluwe", one of the most nature-rich areas in the Netherlands, near the village Putten. The castle is surrounded by beautiful old trees; historical lanes and watercourses determine the structure of the 55-hectare estate.
On the estate you can stay in a rustic setting. De Vanenburg has 52 hotel rooms which are all located on our property. The rooms are spread over four courtyards around the castle.
The restaurant is located in the main castle, where the chef and his team will prepare the most surprising culinary creations, often using products from the herbal garden at the property.
A great variety of meeting facilities are spread over the estate, 17 in total, accommodating from three to 300 persons. A combination of modern facilities and historical atmosphere provides a truly inspiring setting for all kinds of business meetings, trainings and conventions.

0.5 kilometer(s) from Mariahoeve Museum, the Mariahoeve Museum is a typical example of the farms which were built by dozens, hundreds of years ago in The Netherlands. In the sixties and seventies of the last century, almost all of these farms disappeared through mechanization and economies of scale in agriculture. They were converted to bungalows or disappeared behind huge barns with hundreds of fattening calves, pigs or tens of thousands of chickens. The Mariahoeve Museum remains the way it was built, and can be visited to see the typical farmers life of the last century.
15 kilometer(s) from Dolfinarium Harderwijk, a marine mammal park in Harderwijk. It is the largest marine mammal park in Europe. The park is open each year from spring to autumn, with winter being reserved for maintenance. The park is divided into several areas for different species of wider groups of animals. The animals in some areas perform shows.
25 kilometer(s) from Apenheul, a day trip to this primate park is always a well spent and a complete day out! Apenheul opened with primates at large in 1971. This was soon to be followed by great apes living on cleverly designed islands. This was revolutionary for man and animal alike. Visitors can meet the primated directly, living in a natural environment where they can be themselves. Among the many highlights of a visit to Apenheul are the presentations. The monkeys and apes come from all corners of the forest to the feeding area. As they are fed, the animal keepers introduce you to them and regale you with their personal stories about these animals.
