The hotel is located in the heart of Hjorring, the capital of Vendsyssel, where it has stood since May 1, 1887. Back then, it was called W. Kyppers Hotel. With three floors and beautiful facade ornaments, it was undoubtedly the town's most beautiful building. It later became Hotel Bristol, and during the occupation, the Germans seized the hotel.

After the war, new owners arrived and gave the hotel its current name: Hotel Phoenix. According to mythology, the phoenix bird lives for many years before setting itself on fire and rising again. That is exactly what happened to the hotel. First, it was renovated from cellar to attic, and then it was expanded.

At Hotel Phoenix Hjoerring, BW Signature Collection, you can enjoy a cozy bar and relaxation area with comfortable furniture that reflects the hotel's long history. After a long day, or when you need something refreshing, this is the place for freshly ground coffee, draft beer from Bryghuset Vendia or a refreshing drink. The bar also includes Kyppers Terrace, a covered terrace overlooking Jernbanegade. A selection of board games is available for guests to use freely.
