The industrialisation of Kiefersfelden began as early as 1695 with an iron smelting plant, followed by the marble industry and finally the cement industry, which was discontinued in 2003. At the same time there was the scythe industry until 1993. From these branches of industrial history, our Blaahaus contains a rich collection of exhibits, documents and pictures. The local history was extraordinarily shaped by industrialisation. Churches and associations had a positive benefit from the heyday of the industries.
