Best Western Plus Posada de Don Vasco is the best and largest hotel in Patzcuaro, featuring typical colonial architecture of the Lacustre region. It boasts five hectares of spacious and beautiful gardens, a convention center with 10 multipurpose rooms, colonial courtyards, a restaurant-bar, and a terrace with views of Lake Pátzcuaro and Janitzio Island.

The Best Western Plus Posada de Don Vasco Hotel was inaugurated in 1939. The construction of its first phase began in 1937, and by the opening in 1939, it already had eight hectares of gardens, 45 rooms (including 2 master suites), two colonial courtyards, a swimming pool, and a casino. In a second phase, in 1960, the Tarasca section was built with 25 rooms and the hotel chapel. In the fourth phase, in the year 2000, the convention center was built with 10 rooms with a capacity for up to 1,000 people, and the jogging track, 400 meters long, on a 15,000 square meter plot. The hotel has four different gardens, with banquet capacity for 1,000 or more people.

The location is excellent as it is situated on the main avenue of Pátzcuaro, just 5 minutes from Don Vasco Square and the main pier of the lake, where Janitzio Island is located. Near the hotel, you will find tourist attractions such as Don Vasco de Quiroga Square, Gertrudis Bocanegra Square, La Casa de los 11 Patios, the old Jesuit college, the Basilica of Our Lady of Health, and the Huitzimengari Palace.
