Hotel Overview
The Best Western Centralhotellet is Vastervik's oldest family-owned hotel and opened in 1968. Here you live comfortably to a high standard in the middle of the city, a stone's throw from the sea.
The hotel has 37 single or double rooms of various sizes and designs, with a capacity for a maximum of two people. All rooms have minibars, safes, hair dryers, irons, and desks. There are many bed options, from single beds to full double beds with adjustable hardness.
The hotel has a pleasant courtyard and a small roof terrace that guests can use. Every morning a tasty breakfast buffet is served, and breakfast is included for those staying at the hotel.
Vastervik is known for its beautiful archipelago, the Vis festival, and the charming, cobbled streets in the center. It is easy to stroll along the promenade, have coffee at an outdoor restaurant, or shop in the shops. If you visit the city in the summer, there are daily boat trips to Ido and Hasselo, where you can take part in eagle and seal safaris, among other things. In 1998, the tower was built by another three meters, after a donation of 150,000 kronor by Olle Blomberg. The tower itself is 18 meters high and the viewing platform is 34 meters above sea level. The Unos Tower belongs to Vastervik's Museum. The tower was opened in Valborg Masso evening in 1997 by Magnus Harenstam, who was Malmberg's sister's son.
