While this document is not intended to address PCI concerns, a decision that looms large for all offices worldwide is directly related to PCI compliance.
As explain to the international CEOs, Best Aestern’s PCI compliance status has changed. As a result, we are expecting either attestation or proof of PCI compliance for all country sites that are not migrated to the GRS prior prior to November 30, 2017. This date is one that all offices are responsible for compliance with, and failure to comply will result in termination of the DC connection that is used to power that site.
It is essential that any office wishing to move to the GRS ensure that they have stated this objective prior to July 1, 2017, and that they are ensuring that futures print publication aligns with what they believe is there MVP.
This July 1 milestone will be featured in your check list of activities as a hard set date.
Best Western extensively tests all applications before they are released to the production environment. When we are performing work that is specifically requested by an affiliate, we also believe that they have a responsibility to test these items in accordance with their expectations. This is typically done by the user making the request and actually creating a test script for the developers to use. We will expect this with all offices making MVP requests as well we are happy to share with you the format for test cases and would expect that you would have these available in advance of us going into the testing environment so that we can confirm the functionality works as requested. Attached is a link to sample test cases for the GRS
