Reservation Requirements / Questions
Do I need a credit card to make a hotel room reservation?
Yes, Best Western requires a credit card for all online hotel reservations. This guarantees your hotel or motel room until your arrival date. Your credit card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel unless the hotel requires prepayment or a deposit prior. Prepayment, deposit and cancellation requirements will be displayed during the online confirmation process.
If you do not cancel online reservations in accordance with the individual hotel's cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night's hotel stay, unless your online hotel reservation required a full payment in advance or a minimum length of stay.

What is Best Western's online cancellation policy?
Best Western reservation cancellation policies vary by location. Please review the policies of each individual Best Western hotel when confirming your travel reservation during the online reservation process.
If you do not cancel online reservations based on the individual hotel's cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night's hotel stay unless your online hotel reservation required a full payment in advance or a minimum length of stay.
When full payment is required in advance, you will be charged for the entire reserved stay unless you change or cancel your reservation within the requirements of the individual hotel's cancellation policy. During certain travel periods, such as holidays and special events, a minimum stay may be required. For minimum length of stay reservations you will be charged for the entire reserved stay if you check out prior to the reserved departure date.

Will my credit card be charged if I forget to cancel my hotel room reservation?
Yes. Reservations are guaranteed to your credit card. To avoid being charged, reservations must be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined by each individual hotel. Take time to review the cancellation policies for your specific hotel reservation.

Changing or Cancelling My Reservation
How do I view my hotel reservations online?
To change or cancel a reservation that is within the cancellation time frame, please click on the Check Reservations link.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
If you made your hotel reservation on bestwestern.com (and it is within the cancellation period) you may select the Check Reservations link in the main navigation. Enter your first and last name as well as your confirmation number. You can view the details of your stay and cancel the reservation.
I forgot/lost my confirmation number. How do I find it?
To retrieve your confirmation number, please contact your regional worldwide reservations center or contact the hotel for which you made your reservation. If the reservation was made directly with the hotel, you will have to contact the hotel directly to retrieve your confirmation number.
Can I modify or cancel a reservation that has been booked directly with the hotel?
Please contact the hotel directly to make any changes to the reservation. Reservations made at the hotel directly cannot be modified or cancelled on bestwestern.com.
Where can I find contact information for a specific Best Western hotel?
Contact information for the hotel (such as address, phone and fax numbers) is listed at the top of each individual hotel overview page. Please visit the Best Western homepage to begin your search.
How can I make a special request regarding my stay?
Special requests can be made when making your hotel booking online. Requests for rollaway beds, cribs and smoking preferences, as well as any requests noted in comments section during the reservation process online can be made. Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but we will do our very best to accommodate the request. If you have specific needs or questions regarding your request, please call the hotel directly.
How do I find hotel accommodations for the physically challenged at a specific Best Western hotel?
Please refer to the specific Best Western hotel page on bestwestern.com for accommodation details including special requirements or services. If no specific information is listed, please contact the hotel directly or call our reservation center at 1-800-564-2515 in North America or your regional regional worldwide reservations for more information.
Do children stay free at Best Western hotels?
Children 12 and under stay free at any Best Western in North America. Many North American family friendly hotels also allow children 18 and under to stay free. Please check the hotel's information page or individual hotel website for specific child policy information. Child policies at Best Western hotels outside North America may vary. Please check the international hotel's website for information. What if I left an item at a hotel?
For lost items, please contact the hotel directly. If you can do so as soon as you realize your item is missing it is more likely that your item can be found. The hotel will then advise you on how to get the item returned to you.
