Edmonton’s Art Gallery of Alberta showcases permanent and temporary exhibits inside a steel and glass building that is a work of art in itself. See local, national and international works including paintings, sculptures and photography.

Edmonton’s Gallery District is located on 124 St. just west of the city center. Stroll among dozens of independently owned galleries and view paintings, jewelry, sculptures and glasswork produced by regional artists.

The Art Gallery of Calgary, located a block south of LRT Centre Street Station on Stephen Avenue, is well worth a visit. Tour five galleries showcasing contemporary art from local and national artists.

Gallery Row from Fourth Street to 11th Avenue in Calgary features a variety of galleries including Artists of the World. Explore three floors of exhibits from an international array of artists.

Medalta Potteries, located in the Clay District of Medicine Hat, is a 150-acre historic site. See ceramic beehive kilns, tour the museum and view the Kiln Room Excavation. Don’t miss the gift shop where handcrafted pottery is sold.

The Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre at 401 First Street in Medicine Hat offers art galleries, theater performances and historical displays. Visitors enjoy a variety of exhibits, workshops and programs.
