With fresh winter powder, snowmobiling near Revelstoke is spectacular. Skiers can shred the slopes at Boulder Mountain, while ice skaters enjoy Victoria spinning on the ice around Juan De Fuca Ice Arena. You'll find a wealth of excellent ski areas around BC this winter.

Winter in BC means road trips! Be sure to try any of these pre-planned tours – the BC Interior Tour, BC Rockies Tour, or the Vancouver Island Drive Tour. And if you're into hikes and other outdoor recreations, check out any of these exceptional national parks – Kluane, Kootenay, or Glacier. Vancouver and watch as the Vancouver Canucks heat up the ice at Rogers Arena. It's not all NHL for BC – the UBC Thunderbirds, and Whitehorse Mustangs of the Minor Hockey Association also draw crowds as they take the ice. Take the Chilcotin-Bella Coola Highway north into central BC for the winter challenge of ice fishing on Nimpo Lake.

Just an hour west of Kamloops is Cache Creek, another prime spot for British Columbia ice fishing – or head further north to Babine Lake. BC fishing is great year round.
