Festivals Across Southern Ontario
From Blues Music to Scottish Heritage
Throughout the year in southern Ontario, you'll discover a wide range of festivals fit for the whole family. From the interesting, to the bold, to the flat out wacky, plan on exploring local festivals on your next visit into southern Ontario.
A summer visit to Kincardine places you in the heart of the Kincardine Scottish Festival & Highland Games. Held the first weekend in July, the Kincardine Scottish Festival has been celebrating the Scottish heritage in the area since 2000.
Make your way to Victoria Park in downtown Kincardine on your next summer visit – a short drive from nearby Walkteron and Owen Sound.
Closer to the waters of Lake Ontario, visit Kitchener, a charming city and home of the annual Kitchener Blues Festival. Plan your visit for August and head to Victoria Park (a different Victoria Park) – the OLG Clocktower Stage is the center of all the blues music. You can visit and enjoy blues music from nearby cities like Stratford and Guelph.
Plan your winter visit to southern Ontario and stay in Simcoe. You'll be able to celebrate the holidays at the Simcoe Christmas Panorama. Head for downtown Simcoe and pick a nice spot near the Lynn River as it's transformed into a "River of Lights."
