Baseball Teams in Ontario
Check out the Toronto Blue Jays or Ottawa Fat Cats
Across Ontario you'll find an array of baseball teams ranging from professional to semi-pro. As you plan your next Ontario adventure for spring or summer, be sure to check out some – or all – of these exciting teams.
In Toronto you'll want to visit the Rogers Centre, home ballpark of the Toronto Blue Jays. As the only Canadian team in Major League Baseball, the Blue Jays are a popular area draw, with fans across the province in cities like Fergus, Oshawa, and Newmarket. The Blue Jays were founded in 1977, and play within the American League East division.
Make your way to Ottawa and enjoy watching the Ottawa Fat Cats play ball. With the Ottawa Baseball Stadium as their home field, the Fat Cats are part of the Intercounty Baseball League. Travel in from nearby cities like Cornwall, Smiths Falls, or Renfrew to experience exciting Ottawa-area baseball.
If your travel plans have you trekking through southern Ontario, you're in luck – there are several baseball teams in the area, all offering fun outings the entire family will enjoy.
In Hamilton you can visit the Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium, home of the Hamilton Cardinals. Another Intercounty Baseball League team, the Hamilton Cardinals were founded in 1958. Make the short drive in from nearby Simcoe or St. Catharines.
You'll want to check out the Kitchener Panthers as your Ontario baseball trip continues. The Kitchener Panthers play in the Intercounty Baseball League, and have developed competitive rivalries with the Guelph Royals and the Brantford Red Sox. Their home stadium is the Jack Couch Baseball Park near downtown Kitchener.
Visit Guelph and head for the David E. Hastings Stadium, home of the Guelph Royals. In Brantford, find the Arnold Anderson Stadium home field of the Brantford Red Sox. Don't miss any of the home runs, strike outs, and double plays when you visit from nearby cities like Orangeville, Woodstock, or London.
