Built in 1967, the Kenora Recreation Centre Ice Skating Rink is a popular destination for those looking for ice time.
Open seasonally – October through the end of March – the Kenora Recreation Centre Ice Skating Rink offers free skating, hockey games, and lessons from staff instructors – just in case you're a novice.
To the east you'll find Sioux Lookout. Visit and have blast on the ice with a trip to the Memorial Arena Ice Skating Rink. Open from October through March, the Memorial Arena Ice Skating Rink offers hockey clinics at specified times, and public skating sessions – an ideal way to spend an afternoon with the entire family.
Further south, just inland of Lake Superior, you'll find Thunder Bay, home of the Port Arthur Arena Ice Skating Rink. Lessons for the beginners, fun hockey matches for fans, and even Broomball – think hockey, but with small brooms.

Memorial Arena Ice Skating Rink
A source of icy fun for all ages, Memorial Arena Ice Skating Rink is located in Sioux Lookout, in the western part of northern Ontario. Open seasonally – from the beginning of October to the end of March each year – the ice lends itself to a variety of activities, including ice hockey, broomball, figure skating and popular public skating sessions.
The arena offers hockey players both youth and adult programs and leagues, and more casual players can participate in youth and adult pickup games. Mature players can compete in the Oldtimer's Hockey League while parents with young children can circle the rink during special Parent & Tot Skate times.
Port Arthur Arena Ice Skating Rink
Providing frozen fun to all ages, Port Arthur Arena Ice Skating Rink is located in the city of Thunder Bay, in northern Ontario. Open year round, the ice provides visitors with a variety of activities, including ice hockey, broomball, figure skating and public skating sessions.
Port Arthur Arena hosts figure skating lessons, ice skating lessons and ice hockey clinics and is home to the Thunder Bay Figure Skating Club. With a seating capacity of just under 1,000, the arena is the perfect destination for athletes and sports fans alike.
