Northern Saskatchewan Farms
Scenic northern Saskatchewan is also ideal for pick-your-own farms and orchards, in and around the Prince Albert metropolitan area.
Head to Melfort for Creekside Orchard, where you can bring back cherries, raspberries, and currants, plus asparagus and of course apples. Open Friday through Saturday, the orchard also offers dinner at the Creekside Orchard & Café in the summer months.
Other fun farms in northern Saskatchewan include Drechsel's Market Garden in St. Walburg for fresh veggies like beans, beets, and beyond, and Tireman Market Garden in Watson for almost every vegetable you can imagine.
Prince Albert is also a great spot for agritourism. Try G2S Pickin' Patch Inc. for local berries like cherries, raspberries, saskatoons, and strawberries. More berries are ready for picking at Mary's Berries, offering organic strawberries and raspberries.
