Southern Illinois Agritourism

The rolling hills of southern Illinois are quaint as can be, and ideal for agricultural adventure. The Nashville area features the Rainbow Ranch Petting Zoo for traveling families, and the Black Diamond Vineyards for those on a romantic getaway. Nearby Centralia offers the Schwartz Farm, as well as the Hawkins-Schwartz Market.

The woodlands of southern Illinois are spotted with farms, orchards, and wineries. The Carbondale and Marion area offer the Echo Valley Orchard, Lipe's Orchards, and Honker Hill – plus farmsteads like the Green Ridge Farm, Mulberry Hill Farm, and University Farms. And for a sip of the good stuff, try Kite Hill Vineyards.

Try the "Darn Hot Peppers" in nearby Cobden at the Rancho Bella Vista. Other Cobden spots include Blueberry Hill Farm, Flamm Orchards, and vineyards like Lincoln Heritage Winery, Owl Creek Winery, and Starview Vineyards.

Near Flora, check out Sagerfarms in Kell, and Seals Orchard in Bone Gap. Neighboring Mascoutah in the St. Louis area, be sure to visit Simonton Orchard in Okawville.
