Make the most of your visit to Chicago during the summertime by attending the Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park. The event has been attracting visitors from around the globe since 1984 and honors the ‘father of Chicago blues’, Muddy Waters. This family-friendly event takes place in early to mid-June and is the perfect destination enjoy the scene around Lake Michigan and explore downtown sites.
The event includes a mix of blues, soul, jazz blues, and blues-rock performance. It’s a three-day event and the Grant Park location puts you within easy reach of several attractions, dozens of great restaurants, and shopping around Lake Michigan. You can explore Grant Park beyond the main stage to enjoy the beautiful sculptures, see Buckingham Fountain, and enjoy some time strolling around the lakefront.
