Discover the Lincoln Home National Historic Site
The Lincoln Home National Historic Site is operated by the National Park Service and commemorates the 16th president of the United States. This is the place to learn about Abraham Lincoln’s term and explore Lincoln’s neighborhood. You can sign up for a cell phone tour to learn about the site and Abraham Lincoln’s life, watch a 25-minute film about his journey through the political world, and discover the Lincoln home where 12 rooms have been preserved.
This home was the only home every owned by Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln, so you’ll want to take a ranger-guided tour to learn about the history of the Lincolns’ life and the venue. Pick up your tickets from the Lincoln Home Visitor Center Information Desk and check out the exhibits at the Arnold House and Dean House to learn more. Summer tours are available on a first come, first served basis.
