Chicago's icy winters can only mean one thing: great hockey. Founded in 1926, the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League round out the proud band of great Chicago sports teams in Illinois. The Blackhawks compete in the Eastern Conference, in the Central Division, and are a part of the "Original Six" – the first six franchises in NHL history.
The Blackhawks are no stranger to success, either. During their expansive history they have won multiple Stanley Cup Championships. They, too, play home games at the United Center in west-central Chicago. They share the arena with the Bulls during the winter, and into the summer during the playoffs. Catch a game this winter at the United Center. The arena seats nearly 20,000 fans for hockey games, and has been the Blackhawks' home ice since 1995.
