Experience Indiana’s Favorite Roadside Attractions

Treat the family to a memorable adventure and enjoy Indiana’s favorite roadside attractions.

Amish Acres

Head for Amish Acres on your next trek across northern Indiana. Opened in 1970, Amish Acres is a top destination in Nappanee, and a short drive from nearby Goshen. Built on an 80-acre Old Order Amish farm, Amish Acres features nine buildings like the apple cider mill, maple sugar camp, blacksmith shop, and a one-room school house.

As you explore the grounds at Amish Acres, an ideal destination for families, be sure to check out any one of the guided farm and house tours, the Barn Loft Grill for lunch, or enjoy a narrated wagon ride.

Throughout the year, the Round Barn Theatre holds productions of classic theatre plays like the Wizard of OZ, and Plain and Fancy – the star show held at the Barn Theatre. And for a taste of northern Indiana, enjoy some sips of red and white at the Wine Tasting Loft.

Greenfield Mills

A living example of history, Greenfield Mills continues to churn out flour with equipment built in the 1870's. Known as "New Rinkel Flour", this finely produced flour attracts all guests visiting northern Indiana and Howe.

Witness a piece of history in action with a guided tour of the mill. Don't miss three authentic "Darnard Leas" roller mills and one "Sprout and Waldron" roller mill. You can also view a unique plane sifter and a New York flour packer. If you'd like a tour, be sure to call ahead to schedule an appointment.

Santa Claus, Indiana

When you visit Santa Claus in southern Indiana, you step into a world that seems permanently fixed in holiday cheer. All the streets are named after the Christmas season, and there are numerous Christmas-themed attractions.

Take your pick from Santa's Candy Castle, Santa Claus Museum, Christmas Lake Golf Course, Frosty's Fun Center, and Santa's Stables.

Families will especially love the Holiday World & Splashin' Safari theme park – this combination theme and water park is split into four different sections each celebrating Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July.

No matter what the season, this park offers a unique and thrilling way to celebrate the holidays – just off Interstate 64.
