Enjoy Wisconsin’s Beautiful Gardens

Spread out over 16 acres along Lake Monona, Olbrich Botanical Gardens includes several garden areas that exhibit a variety of plant species, environments, and natural ecosystems from around the world. Take a walk through the Sunken Garden and spend some time at the English garden and reflecting pool. Then visit the Thai Garden with examples of Thai sculptures and the Rock Garden that represents a mountain slope. Admission to the Gardens is free. A small entry fee is required for the Bolz Conservatory.

To get a taste of the farm life, visit Cain’s Orchard in Hixton, Wisconsin, and see what life is like when you live on a 20-acre farm. The farm closes for the winter season, but when open, visitors can take hayrides, pick freshly grown fruit, and hit the gift shop for souvenirs. The farm opens to the public on Saturdays at 7 a.m.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Madison visitors are invited to stroll through the Sunken Garden, which features a traditional English garden and reflecting pool. The nearby Thai Garden is littered with examples of Thai sculptures and features a centerpiece pavilion, while the Rock Garden represents a mountain slope.
