For you golfers out there, book a tee time for the Chennault Park Golf Course in Monroe. Anyone visiting Lake Charles must play the Frasch Park Golf Course just southwest of downtown Sulphur on Picard Road. You will have a hard time finding any course as beautiful, well kept, and renowned as the Lakewood Golf Course in southeastern New Orleans. Lakewood has hosted over 25 PGA Tour events since opening in the early 1960’s and has seen legendary golfers such as Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson earn championship honors.
