White-Tailed Deer in Mississippi

National Parks

Made up of over 48,000 acres, the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge wooded area located in the Hills Region of northern Mississippi. The refuge offers hiking and wildlife viewing – as the area is known for beaver, otter, white-tailed deer, alligators, and over 250 species of birds. Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge also has observation platforms that are great for spotting wildlife, like Morgan Hill Overlook.

Along the southern shore of Grenada Lake, Hugh White State Park is an ideal destination for outdoor recreation in the Hills Region of Mississippi. White, the former Mississippi governor, Hugh White State Park is home to the Dogwoods Golf Course and a 64,000-acre lake ideal for fishing, water skiing, tubing, and jet skiing.
