GumTree Museum of Art

Established in 1982, the GumTree Museum of Art is a public art gallery set in northern Mississippi in the city of Tupelo. Formerly the Tupelo Artist Guild, Inc., the GumTree is set in downtown Tupelo in the former Peoples Bank & Trust Company building – listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The GumTree Museum of Art hosts annual events like the Gumtree Festival, the Gumball, and the Blue Tie Affair: An Evening of the Finest – plus art camps and educational programs.

Lauren Rogers Museum of Art

Founded in 1923, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is a fine art museum located in Laurel’s historic district. The southern MS museum features a host of regional and international fine art collections, including works from Europe, Asia, Native American cultures, and more.

The largest museum in the state is the Mississippi Museum of Art. located the capital city of Jackson, the MMA features over 4,000 works of art by Mississippians. Situated between Thalia Mara Hall and the Jackson Convention Complex, the Museum features a 1.2-acre public green space, a performance stage, and The Art Garden, that serve as the anchors of Jackson’s cultural district.

Since 1989, the creations of this Biloxi native have been on display, along with craftsman Pleasant Reed. The museum's beautiful campus was designed by architect Frank Gehry.
