Rides & Thrills in Mississippi

Top Attractions

Big Creek Water Park

On your next trek through Mississippi, be sure to keep your rod and tackle handy as you scour the area for the best fishing holes. You'll want to head to southern Mississippi and check out the Big Creek Water Park. Set just north of Ellisville, Big Creek Water Park isn't the water park you may have in mind – it's a slightly different take on the idea all together. Think of it more as a lake for fishing, boating, swimming and picnics.

With easy access from Ellisville and nearby Laurel, Big Creek Water Park features a 200-acre lake stocked with bass, crappie and catfish. With plenty of lush greenery, and a bevy of thick trees, Big Creek Water Park is a treat for all the senses. Make a day trip to Big Creek and try hiking any one of the trails.

Grand Paradise Waterpark

Travel along Highway 49 in central Mississippi and you'll find the city of Collins. Quaint and featuring it's own brand of unique southern charm, Collins is home to the Grand Paradise Waterpark.

A sterling choice for your summer visit to the Magnolia State, Grand Paradise Waterpark opened in 2007, and is open from May through September. Grand Paradise Waterpark features four individual slide complexes throughout more than 304,000 acres of fun.
