Skiing and Snowboarding in Pennsylvania
Winter-time recreation is plentiful when visiting Pennsylvania. Take a trip to the Pocono Mountains and hit the slopes of Camelback Mountain Resort. Enjoy over 160-acres of skiable terrain with 34 ski trails and fourteen chair lifts. Spend a full day on the slopes that are it up at night and snowboard on the rails and jumps in Graffiti Park. Take your snow tube up the lift and have a blast sliding down one of the 38 snow tube lanes in the snow tube park.
Blue Knob All Seasons Resort
Central Pennsylanvia is home to the state's second highest peak at Blue Knob Mountain – located in the 5,614-acre Blue Knob State Park. This wonderful recreation area features the Blue Knob All Seasons Resort, featuring the highest elevation of all the ski resorts in the state.
Skiers and snowboarders choose from a variety of 34 beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert ski runs, the most challenging runs in the state. The resort also features groomed cross-country ski trails, and snow tubing. Summer time fun abounds at the resort. Whether mountain biking on the maintained trails, hiking in the park, playing golf at the resort's nine-hole golf course, hunting or fishing, there are plenty of choices for outdoor fun.
The resort's conference center is an ideal location for private parties, weddings, meetings and special events. Enjoy your travels in central Pennsylvania, with a short drive to nearby Breezewood.
Boyce Park Ski Area
Pittsburgh area residents and visitors looking for winter-time fun have a wonderful resource not far from downtown. They visit the Boyce Park Ski Area, located east of downtown Pittsburgh.
Grab your snowboard or skis for a fun day on the slopes. The park features nine runs including, a terrain park for snowboarders, two double lifts, two surface lifts, two magic carpets for the beginner area and night skiing.
Those that are new to the sport, can sign up for a lesson from the Snow Sports School to learn from the pros. Adult and children's ski equipment and gear is also available for rental, if needed. Have fun in the snow with family and friends, at this small Pittsburgh ski area.
