Explore Scenic Parks Across Connecticut

Connecticut offers endless hours of outdoor recreation to visitors at any time of year. From pristine beaches in the summer along the coast to colorful forests at the peak of foliage in the autumn. Go for a hike on winding paths through classic New England landscapes or go kayaking along the charming coastline. Connecticut is an excellent destination for a scenic drive to see the famous foliage every fall in New England.

In the winter, you can strap on your skis for runs down Mount Southington Ski Area and Woodbury Ski Area. Bluff Point State Park just minutes from Groton features 800 acres right along the coast. Near Berlin, you can climb the summit at Lamentation Mountain State Park. Not far from Yale University in New Haven, you can explore two outdoor jewels of Connecticut — Quinnipiac River State Park and Farmington Canal State Park Trail. Drive to Putnam memorial State Park from Bethel or Penwood State Park just northwest of Hartford.
