Allendale Golf Course

Though it's part of the Allendale Country Club, this course is open for public play. You can find Allendale GC along Highway 6, just to the east of U Mass-Dartmouth. 18 holes and a par of 72 across 6,633 yards help to make Allendale GC a challenge for golfers across all skill sets.

Fresh Pond Golf Course

When visiting Massachusetts this spring or summer, be sure to bring your clubs along for the ride. You'll find a wealth of exceptional golf courses to play in the Bay State – visit Cambridge and play a round at the Fresh Pond Golf Course. You'll find Fresh Pond GC just west of downtown Cambridge within the Greater Boston Area.

A charming and challenging golf experience, Fresh Pond GC is a nine-hole, executive-style course – you can sneak in a round before lunch, or double up for a full 18 holes. As it is, Fresh Pond GC features 2,994 yards and a par of 35. It was designed by Donald J. Ross, and opened in 1932.

Marlborough Golf Course

Make plans to visit Massachusetts this spring or summer and book a tee time at the Marlborough Golf Course. Found within the Marlborough Country Club, this course is a premier golf destination in the state. Sure, there are many places to see and things to do in MA, but a round of golf here is never a bad idea.

Found along Concord Road adjacent to Ghiloni Park, this course is 18 holes of lush, if not challenging fairways, with glass-like greens, and well placed bunkers. Mount Hood Golf Course

Make the most of your next visit to Boston with a day out on the links – book your tee time now for the Mount Hood Municipal Golf Course. Found just north of Boston in Melrose, Mount Hood Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole masterpiece, playing to a max of 5,553 yards and a par of 69.

You can find Mount Hood Golf Course along State Route 1, near Knox Memorial Park and Flagg Acres. Opened in 1933, Mount Hood GC features a slope rating of 107 and a course rating of 65.7. Be sure you bring your clubs along for the ride the next time you visit Boston during spring or summer, and play a round over Mount Hood GC.

Renaissance Golf Club

During your next visit to Massachusetts, be sure to bring your clubs along and book a tee time at the Renaissance Golf Club. While visits to Massachusetts can yield full days of fun exploring the many kid-friendly attractions or gliding down the slopes during winter, it's a golf adventure you'll want to have this spring or summer.

Head for Haverhill in eastern MA, directly north of Boston, and find the 18-hole Renaissance Golf Club along the Merrimack River. Opened in 2005, Renaissance GC plays to a par of 72 across a max of 7,100 yards. It was designed by Brian M. Silva, and should yield a fun challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

South Shore Country Club

Plan your next trip for Massachusetts and make your way to the South Shore Country Club. You'll find an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, a pool, a bowling alley, and fine dining – all a short drive away from nearby Rockland. The South Shore Country Club is located in Hingham, less than 17 miles south of Boston.

The South Shore Country Club does accept applications for membership, but all of the services offered are available to the public for a fee. Whether it's the 18-holes of golf designed by Wayne Stiles, or the 10-lane candlepin bowling alley, you'll find just the right way to enjoy your time at the South Shore Country Club – an ideal way experience MA. While everything at the club is open year-round, there are, obviously, some weather restrictions.

Spring Valley Golf Course

You'll find an excellent array of premier golf courses in Massachusetts. Plan your next visit to the town of Sharon, south of Boston proper, and check out the Spring Valley Golf Course. Though technically a part of the Spring Valley Country Club, this course is 18 holes of exceptional fun.

You can find Spring Valley Golf Course neatly situated along Interstate 95, adjacent to the Sharon Memorial Park. Opened in 1960, Spring Valley GC has 6,822 yards to play – from the back tees – and features a par of 72. It has a course rating of 72.3, and a slope rating of 133. It was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, and is ideal during spring and summer.

Waverly Oaks Golf Club

There are few ways better than a round of golf to help make your next stay in Massachusetts a truly unforgettable one. Plan a visit to Plymouth and book a tee time at the Waverly Oaks Golf Club. You'll find this impressive course southeast of downtown Plymouth along State Route 3 near the Old Sandwich Golf Club, and Massasoit National Wildlife Refuge.

Ideal for spring and summertime visits to Plymouth, Waverly Oaks GC features 18 well maintained holes and it plays to a par of 72. Across its 7,114 yards – making it one of MA's longest courses – you'll find challenges for sure, but with scenic views like these, it won't much matter. Waverly Oaks GC opened in 1998 – book soon!

William Devine Golf Course

Shoot for the course record during your next stay in Boston. Bring your clubs along for the ride and head for the William Devine Golf Course in nearby Dorchester. The Greater Boston Area certainly has much to see and do – history, sports, outdoor romps – but a round at William Devine GC should top any travel agenda.

Especially ideal during spring and winter, William Devine GC can be found within Franklin Park along Blue Hill Avenue. Open to the public, William Devine GC is 18 holes and a par of 72. From the back tees it's 6,609 yards, with bent grass greens, and wide fairways. William Devine Golf Course opened in 1896.
