The oldest active stadium in Major League Baseball, Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox. Established in 1912, Fenway Park is one of two traditional ballparks in use, and found on the National Register of Historic Places.
A major attraction in Boston and Massachusetts, Fenway Park is set in Kenmore Square, and seats nearly 40,000 baseball fans. Classic Fenway Park attractions include the Green Monster, Williamsburg, Pesky's Pole, and the Lone Red Seat.
Foxboro Sports Center
Plan a visit to Foxboro and check out the Foxboro Sports Center. You'll find Foxboro, also home to the Gillette Stadium and the New England Patriots, just south of Sharon and west of Rockland. At the Foxboro Sports Center, you'll have access to two NHL sized hockey rinks – public skating is available at certain parts of the day, as are the rental skates, for those without their own.

Home field of the New England Patriots, Gillette Stadium is a must-visit attraction for the sports fan in your group. Opened in 2002, Gillette Stadium was originally known as CMGI Field. Gillette Stadium is also home to the New England Revolution of the MLS, and is the home field for the University of Massachusetts football program. Seating nearly 69,000 fans for football games, and a little more than 22,000 for soccer games, Gillette Stadium is a wonderful piece of architecture on the eastern Massachusetts landscape.
The NFL season kicks on in September and plays through to February for the Super Bowl – remember those dates when planning on a Patriots game. Only minutes from nearby Sharon, Gillette Stadium is a busy place – March sees the beginning of the MLS season, and nearby high schools use the field to play end-of-season championship games.

As you venture through this area of Massachusetts (south of Boston, but north of Seekonk, find your way over to the Iorio Arena and catch a lively junior hockey game, or enjoy the ice with other visitors during Public Skating time or Public Hockey time. Built in 1995, the TD Garden is a multi-purpose arena located in Boston. Home to sporting events, concerts, and expos, the TD Garden was originally known as the Shawmut Center, then it became the FleetCenter, and in 2009 finally became the TD Garden. Only about a mile away from the Government Center at Scollay Square, the TD Garden is a must visit attraction on your next trek into Massachusetts.
