Having initially entered the public consciousness as the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, Bethel Woods is a spectacular outdoor concert venue. With a capacity of 15,000, a 400-seat event gallery, and the Museum at Bethel Woods. It honors the cultural significance of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair. Expect to have nothing but fun and entertainment in this peaceful, secluded location.
There are plenty of educational programs available throughout the year like the Harvest Festival. Check it out for an in-depth exploration into community outreach and collaboration, as well as history and art education.
Head out not far from Albany and stop off at Clifton Park and scope out the Upstate Concert Hall. There are plenty of outstanding live performances of many different varieties with great acoustics so bring some friends and make a weekend out of it.
