The Forested Wonders of Adirondack Park In New York
Make the trip up to the northeast part of the Empire State to experience Adirondack Park. Along more than six million acres, there are more than 10,000 lakes and 30,000 miles of rivers and streams for you to enjoy.
Go hiking along the 2,000 miles of trails that make for the nation’s largest trail system. Birdwatchers will have plenty to pique their interest. Watch out for red-tailed and rough-legged hawks, Peregrine falcons, ospreys, great-horned owls, barred owls, turkey vultures, ravens, and much more. Enjoy some hunting, fishing, or snowmobiling.
If you’re worried about accommodations, there is no shortage of cabins, hunting lodges, villas, or hotels in the area surrounding the park. Rent a canoe or kayak and go for a flat water or whitewater ride. Test your rock climbing and ice climbing abilities.
Take advantage of the educational programs and exhibits that help acquaint visitors with their surroundings. Join the millions of tourists who visit Adirondack Park every year and see what the buzz is about.
