Mountainous Beauty Abounds in New York’s Catskill Park
Get to the southeastern part of the state and experience Catskill Park in Ulster, Greene, Delaware, and Sullivan Counties. Use the campgrounds and over 300 miles of multi-use trails to make for an adventure you’ll never forget. Marvel at the skyline formed by 98 peaks over 3,000 feet in elevation.
Observe bobcats, minks, fishers, coyotes, and roughly 400 black bears. Go hunting. Enjoy one of 18 long hikes you can take. Head out on the water and go fishing or canoeing. Test your physical limits by rock climbing. Indulge in some mountain biking. Warm yourself up with some skiing and snowmobiling.
Learn all about the culture, history, and recreational opportunities that the Catskills have to offer at the Catskill Interpretive Center. Appreciate the charming blend of public and private land, similar to Adirondack Park. With forests, meadows, lakes, rivers, wetlands, cliffs, and more fish, plant life, and wildlife than you could imagine, there is truly something for everyone to do and over 287,000 acres for you to do it on.
