New York & the Minor League

While many enjoy the fervor of Major League Baseball in NY – the Mets and Yankees draw fans from around the world – other visitors enjoy the understated excitement of minor league baseball.

Fans from all over the state fawn over local minor league clubs – from New York City, to Nyack, and even Buffalo.

Set just minutes south of Syracuse, Auburn is a pleasant little city in central New York. Home to the Auburn Doubledays, the Class-A minor league affiliate of the Washington Nationals, Auburn serves travelers well, with small town charms, and big city entertainment.

Gather the kids and head over to Falcon Park Il (home field of Doubledays) during the summer for thrilling baseball action – a short and scenic drive from nearby Tully.

Head south to Brooklyn, and check out the Brooklyn Cyclones. The Class-A affiliate of the Mets, the Cyclones play all their home games at MCU Park, and games during the summer can easily be seen by the whole family – tickets and concessions are typically much less expensive than at the major league games.

The Cyclones have grown a fan base in Brooklyn area and beyond since their inception in 1986. Fans travel in from nearby Flushing, Woodbury, and Jamaica.
