The fall yields exciting professional football action in western New York. The Buffalo Bills fight it out on the evenly laid turf against their foes from the fiercely competitive AFC East.
Make the short drive into Buffalo from neighbor cities Lackawanna, and Cheektowaga. For the frequent fliers, you’ll land at Buffalo Niagara International Airport, just one of a handful of NY airports – be prepared for intense football action.
Make your way to the iconic Ralph Wilson Stadium, home field of the Bills. Opened in 1973, the stadium is named after Bills founder, and current owner, Ralph Wilson. Used primarily as a football stadium, it has also hosted outdoor hockey events for the NHL, and concerts.
Many New Yorkers find their allegiance to be with the Bills – and the Giants and Jets. Both the Giants and Jets play their home games at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Both the Giants and Jets area also headquartered in New Jersey – but that doesn’t stop New York sports fans from cheering for their favorite.
