Yawgoo Valley Ski Area
Rhode Island's Lone Ski Resort
Set in southern Rhode Island, the Yawgoo Valley Ski Area & Sports Park is the only ski area in the state – and one of the southernmost ski areas in all of New England. Set in the city of Exeter, Yawgoo Valley is 26 miles southwest of Providence.
The Yawgoo Valley Ski Area has 36 skiable acres, and a top elevation of 310 feet. Yawgoo Valley features 14 runs – the longest being 2,200 feet.
Beginners may try up to eight “easy” ski trails – including Hub's Folly, Upper Ledges, Crossroads, Gnarnia – while expert skiers select trails like TNT, Lower Ledges, and Jack Attack.
Yawgoo Valley is supported by five lifts, and also features night skiing, snow tubing, and a freestyle terrain park.
Rhode Island’s lone ski area is set 19 miles from Warwick, 17 miles from West Greenich, and 16 miles from Newport – making it an easy escape when hitting the slopes in Rhode Island.
