Ben & Jerry's Waterbury Factory

Set in the Green Mountains, Ben & Jerry's famed Waterbury Factory is located in northern Vermont in the city of Waterbury. Tours of the ice cream factory features a film in the Cow Over The Moon Theater, views of the factory floor, and the much-anticipated Flavoroom. Ben & Jerry's Waterbury Factory also features a gift store and Scoop Shop, plus picnics and visits to the Flavor Graveyard during the summer. Other events include annual Winter Festival, Free Outdoor Movie Festival, and Halloween Festival – plus Free Cone Day.

Cold Hollow Cider Mill

Set in the Green Mountains, Cold Hollow Cider Millis located in northern Vermont in the city of Waterbury. Established in 1976, the mill is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. – or 7 p.m. during the summer. Visitors to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill may stop by the Apple Core Gift Shop, Cider Mill Vermont Craft Beer Store, onsite Luncheonette, and the Grand View Winery tasting room. Be sure to take home Vermont specialties in the form of cider donuts, baked goods, cheese, honey, maple syrup, and of course, cider.

Green Mountain Coffee Café & Visitor Center

Set in a historic train station, the Green Mountain Coffee Café & Visitor Center is located in northern Vermont in the city of Waterbury. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Green Mountain Coffee features guided and self-guided tours. Visitor Center features an interpretive “tree to cup” exhibit, and many interactive, multimedia showcasing on coffee in general. Visitors may grab lunch and of course coffee at the Green Mountain Coffee Café, or stop by the gift shop.

The Apple Barn & Country Bake

With a history dating back to 1910, the Apple Barn & Country Bake is located in southern Vermont near Bennington. Set in the Green Mountains, the Apple Barn started as the 300-acre Southern Vermont Orchards, and today offers a bakery, coffee shop, gift shop, and more. The best way to experience Apple Barn & Country Bake is through their popular Motor Coach Tours – allowing guests to choose from a donut and drink on the Orchard Tour, or pie alamode and orchard tour on the Taste of Vermont Tour. The Apple Barn also offers pick-your-own berries, including strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory

Home to the famed Lake Champlain Chocolates, the Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory is set in northern Vermont in the city of Burlington. Tours of the facility are held on the hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. These through-the-window Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory tours are free to the public, and offer plenty of free samples. Visit during your favorite holiday for chocolate Easter bunnies, chocolate Valentine’s Day hearts, and even chocolate turkeys.

Vermont Teddy Bear Company

Producing nearly 500,000 teddy bears a year, the Vermont Teddy Bear Company is one of the largest teddy bear manufacturers in the world. Headquartered in Shelburne in northern Vermont, just south of Burlington, VTB was founded in 1983. Open daily, the Vermont Teddy Bear Company offers 30-minute tours of the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory for a small fee. Tours are held every half-hour during the summer season from 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., and every hour from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the winter. Just be sure to see the Bear Shop, too.
