Misty Fjords National Park
Encompassing more than two million acres, Misty Fjords National Park is a jewel of southern Alaska – and about 40 miles from Ketchikan.
Found in the Tongass National Forest, the majority of this Alaska Panhandle treasure is designated a Wilderness National Monument.
This coastal rain forest features deep valleys, sharp intervalley ridges, and steep slopes, and is a haven for sea kayaking, water skiing, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
While in the park, keep a lookout for the wolves, bald eagles, brown bears, mountain goats, black bears, and deer.
